The products we sell are individually crafted from oak wood which was felled 150 years ago and has already had a full life as a ceiling beam and/or loft floor in French farmhouses.
Because of this the oak has dried slowly and naturally and due to prolonged effect from, for example, stable fumes, has acquired a much more intense design and flame effect than is the case with "fresh" oak.
As our products are robustly and individually made, including all imaginable small imperfections such as knots, nail holes etc. we are able to speak of highly distinctive products, each with their own identity.
